Are You Up? 03:42
My soul had gone a’driftin And far away it hid. And I know this thing can be so twisted This love we call it our friend. Oh are you up now? Are you sleeping? I’ve been laying here all morning. Are you up now? I’m ready, ready for this day to begin. And in that classic depiction of love and all of it’s joy There’s no room for a long haired fool in there! No room for a long haired boy. Then I found myself fighting. Fighting with the one that I need, Cause there was some kind of story here But I don’t think that it’s about me. Oh are you up now? Are you sleeping? I’ve been laying here all morning. Are you up now? I’m ready, ready for this day to begin. And I had it written up inside a theory That I’d never feel this way again. We were young and it was ok To spread our ashes on the windowpane. You’re love, it brightens me up. Wonder how long it’s gonna be this way. Oh are you up now? Are you sleeping? I’ve been laying here all morning. Are you up now? I’m ready, ready for this day to begin. Oh are you up now? Are you sleeping? I’ve been laying here all morning. Are you up now? I’m ready, ready for this day to begin. Etc.

The people in this city call me country Because of how I walk and talk and smile Well, I don't mind them laughing in the city But the country folks all say I'm citified The fighting men they say that I'm a coward Because I never push no one around Gentle people call me trouble maker 'Cause I'll always fight and stand my ground Funny I don't fit Where have all the average people gone? Some pious people point and call me sinner Because to them I've never seen the lights Other folks think of me as a preacher I'm just doing what I think is right The wealthy people think that I am a hobo Lean and hungry, writing mournful songs And the poor, poor people think I am a rich man But really, I'm just trying to get along Yes, it's funny I don't fit Tell me where have all the average people gone? And the government has given me a number To simplify my birth and life and death And still my woman thinks I'm awful important Like the moon and the sun and the sea and the sky and breath Yes, it's funny I don't fit Where have all the average people gone? Funny I don't fit Where have all the average people gone?

about

With Okey Dokey’s latest, multi-band, collaborative album “Once Upon One Time” having just been released in October, the band is back with a refreshing pallet cleansing EP entitled Leaky Sealing. The songs are a collection of b-sides, covers, and new interpretations of some of the band’s favorite songs from the album. The lead single is “Delicious” remixed by the indie pop group Generationals. “With the ‘Leaky Sealing’ alternate spelling I was hoping to draw attention to all the leaks. The ones above our heads and the ones above our souls. We live in a world we barely know.”, explains frontman Aaron Martin.
